Staff Assistant, Office of Senator Raphael Warnock,
Washington, D.C.

Aug. 2024 - Present

  • Assist the communications department in developing talking points, monitoring news media sources, repurposing press releases, and creating media lists to relay the Senator’s policy priorities and connect with his constituents.
  • Draft social media content, shoot videos, and capture photos for the Senator's digital media platforms, to create an engaging online presence for the Senator on social media. 
  • Lead the development of an inter-office website complete with a staff directory, frequently asked questions, and other relevant office information, to streamline office processes and systems.
  • Write remarks for events ranging from the 150th anniversary of the Senator’s mother’s hometown, to meetings with furloughed constituents from the Centers for Disease Control.
  • Manage and train a seasonal group of six interns, per semester cycle, to ensure the functionality of the office.
  • Aid the legislative team in writing constituent response letters and legislative memoranda, to maintain a highly constituent-focused and fast-paced office.
  • Organize and conduct tours of the White House and U.S. Capitol Building for over 1,000 prospective groups, to ensure a strong connection between Senator Warnock’s Office and his constituents.

  • Developed digital graphics and copy for the Senator’s social media platforms with over 300,000 total followers across Instagram, X and Facebook, to showcase his policy priorities to his constituents.
  • Leveraged knowledge of agricultural, foreign, environmental and judiciary policy to repurpose press releases and one-pagers to highlight Senator’s legislative priorities, and committee work.
  • Utilized state, national and international news sources to compile an average of 35 press clips daily throughout the duration of the internship program.

Tour Leader, University of Georgia Visitors Center,
Athens, GA

Nov. 2021 - May 2024

  • Crafted a personalized two-hour long campus tour of a university with 40,000 students, 700 acres, and 400 buildings.
  • Served as a campus ambassador by providing tours for over 6,000 visitors from over 250 total tour groups to UGA.
  • Advised students on housing options on the University of Georgia’s campus, helping students navigate one of the most expensive housing markets for young adults in the country.

  • Plan four university funded events every six-months for UGA’s third largest alumni chapter with over 6,700 alumni.

  • Completed a year-long service-learning project focused on creating an educational guidebook for rural communities on how to install electric vehicle charging stations in their area, resulting in stronger interest in EV infrastructure awareness in over a dozen Georgia counties.
